I would get either the small lotions or soaps from a store like Bath & Body Works– a nice gesture and only a few dollars apiece. You could even attach the soap to a loofah– you can get 3 or 4 for $1 at some dollar stores.

Sounds like you’ve already given him enough.
He’s only 1 and this sounds like it’s getting out of hand.
Maybe you should have a birthday party and say "no gifts" – "just celebrate his birthday with us".

150 on each child I have three
50 on my husband he spends 50 on me
10 each on three nieces and nephews
10 on stepsons sister
5 each on three christmas gifts for school
10 for little brother and 10 for step sister
For my sister I make cookies same for all of the parents and grandparents.

yes, that is plenty. you’re child is only 1-so he won’t remember anything. good ideas for first birthdays would be to start a savings account and add money each yr…or get him something he can use for a while-exersaucer, stroller, etc. good luck parenting:)

Try and make it something usefull! Like scented candles, or you can get some little travel containers, and a big thing of lotion, and body wash from bath and body works, and then fill the containers. They have a bunch of different colors of lotions, so you can even have them match your theme, or do blue for a boy, or pink for a girl!

fruit cake =) lol jk….and yes a card is a good way to start…also maybe a small basket full of small treats…maybe you can bake something for them also or get a box of holiday chocolate…those cans of popcorn with the holiday graphics on it are nice…just something as simple as the gift they gave to your business…..or a simple card with a thank you always does the trick, those were just maybe ideas to get you thinking a bit…its only once a year you can get away with sending someone a box of oranges =) lol since your a local newspaper…maybe when/if you decide to give them a gift in return or card….send them a copy of today’s paper (same date you give them a card/gift) from your company lol hey i wouldnt mind the paper for free…save me a quarter =)
